About
I am an a textile artist from Spain. I have been all my life related to fashion and textile work in some form. I studied in the School of Arts of Granada textile design, using a wide range of traditional techniques. I did practise as costume design in the Theatre school.
I started creating textile pieces combining a wide range of non traditional tools and materials, using recycling frames such as a bass, combining different materials such as denim, cables and plastic ribbons.
I studied Fine arts in Granada and then i started learning different techniques that i could apply later on in my textile work such’s as painting and printing.
I also experimented in creating my own pieces of clothing, starting with the design and crating my own textile patterns.
I returned to the pure textile art and focused in weaving , mixing all the learned and experimenting in different ways.
I had the opportunity to start doing collaborations for campaigns, being able to expand in the use of different materials such as sea weed, ship sails and rubber made of seashells in a collaboration with el Naturalista.
From then i started to do collaborations with Selfridges for different in store art pieces and the latest with Doc martens, i also have been developing my own artwork using what i learned to keep building in different ways.
